The story of Romulus and Remus is the story of how Rome started. The story goes that Rhea and Mars had twins but the other Gods wanted to kill them. So Rhea sent them away in a river in order to protect them. A wolf found them and raised them as hers. Then they were adopted by a shepherd and grew up. They decided they wanted to be kings but only one of them could rule so Romulus killed his brother and that is how Rome started. The twelve tablets were the first written down laws in Rome. They applied for every citizen (rich/poor.) They weren't new laws, they were just the first written ones. The funny thing about Roman Roads is that they all lead to Rome and none of them said anything about cities nearby, just Rome. The Romans had a lot of Gods. And the mayor ones were named like the planets. Hades was Pluto and Poseidon was Neptune and so on.
