The empired disappeared in 1453.This happend because the capital, of ancient Byzantium was seized by the Turks.The most important empore was Justinian who governed with his wife Theodora from 527 to 565. This empire expanded with the conquests of Italy, northern Africa and the southeast of Visigothic Hispania.

       Byzantine Empire was originated in Eastern Roman Empire.The Byzantine important emperor is Justinian. The Byzantine  Empire didn't belive in the in the Roman Empire so they spread from them. The Justinian code almost have the same thing as the roman laws. in AD476 warriors attacked the city of roman and distroyed 800 years of glory. The next thousand years were called the Middle ages. Not alot of people could read or write they thought it wasn't really important.the beginning of the Middle Ages were called thee Dark Ages.

They live in the middle age and in the ad 476 and that when is the dark ages aslo in the 1492 and 1450 where Columbus sail and explore the other part all over the world when the roman empire fall they  spilt in two the other half was the Byzantine Empire but the in no time they take over the roman side and then  they take over
Syria and Palestine to northern Africa, and the Slavs settled to the south of the River Danube.

I leaned that,The Middle Ages are  formed by the middle period in a traditional schematic division of European history into three ages: the classical grup  of Antiquity, the Middle Ages and Modern Times.
In several countries, among them Spain, another period Contemporary Times come after Modern Times. I also leaned that  In AD 476, the warriors attackedby  the city of Rome and ended more than 800 years of pece for the city.

The fail of the Roman Empire in 476 left Byzantium as the ruler of ancient Rome, for thousands of years. It finally ended in 1453. Justinian was emperor who governed with his wife  Theodora from 527-565 their greatest achievement was conquering Italy,North Africa, and south east Visigathic Hispana.The Justinian code was a updated version of the Roman laws.

   From looking at the website I learned that the Roman Empire was divided then it became the Byzantine Empire. I learned that the first emperor was Justinian and he governed with his wife Theodora. I learned that  Byzantium dominated trade in the Mediterranean Sea. I also learned that in the 6th century the Lombards invaded Italy and the Visigoths banded the Byzantines from Hispania. In the 11th century the Turks conquered most of Anatolia peninsula. In 380 the Emperor Theodosius declared Christianity the official religion in the Roman Empire. The Byzantine Church started to separate from the Roman Church. The Turks took Constantinople in 1453. The Catholic Church didn't help the Byzantines.

They also were not helped by the catholic church in the west.

Rome was attacked by warriors in AD 476. Then the fall of Rome was marked by Historians as the end of anicient history. Middle ages was called in Latin terms as "Medieval" after one thousand years. The Dark ages, however, was also the begining of Middle ages in Europe. It was called the Dark ages becacuse some of the greatest civilizations in Greece and Rome fell. Nbody knew how to read or write during that time, therefore, life was very difficult during that time in Europe. The only hope that these people has was their belief in Christianity and the hope that the life in heaven is going to be better. The change in Europe began by 1450 and then Coumbus sailed to America in 1492. Finally discoveries were made.
