Romulus and Remus were twin brothers. There mother was a princess and there father was the war god Mars. When they were born there mother left them because other gods and goddesses wanted to harm her father, husband and children. when they grew up they both wanted to be kings. But then Romulus picked up a rock and killed Remus, and became king. The “Twelve Tables”, were rights that the leaders of the republic wrote down, they were written laws but in 12 sections.
The Republic Government is mainly about how two elected consuls shared the head of government and they are members of the senate who is the highest in republic government. Roman Roads were built in straight lines and had many gutters. Romans built signs that were called milestones along the side of the road. Milestones only told you how far was it back to Rome. Nero who was an emperor, a bad one, but famous. He orders people to kill themselves.

Romulus and Ramus where legend according to the Romans they where brothers to each other, sons of mars the war god, and son of Rhea the princes. With Rhea finding out that her father, husband, herself, and her children where being targeted by other gods and goddesses to harm them. Knowing this she toke the decision to put them in a basket and placed it on the river hoping that they would be found and raised properly. Fortunately they where found by a she-wolf who feed them and protected them. Later on they where found and adopted by a shepherd and his wife.
As they grew older and they saw that they didn’t want to be taking care of the sheep. Instead they saw that they wanted to rule over a city and be kings. They decided to built a city near Tiber. After they started to argue on who would be the one king of this city so they got into a fight and Romulus blinded with anger killed his brother and announced himself king.

There was a Legend of Romulus & Remus that ancient Romans loved to hear about. To them this story explained why Rome had the right to rule. The story is about to sons who were twins of a “princess and the war god on mars” who grew up raised by a she wolf. When grown, they decided that they wanted to become king but each twin wanted to be the only king. After arguing with rage, Romulus picked up a rock and killed his brother and became king.
Tarquin the Proud was a king that the people of Rome had a sixteen year old battle with. After this The Romans were sure they never again wanted to have a king as a ruler so they was to have elected leaders so that they could vote on any laws that were suggested. They also desired to vote a yearly ruler. In 508 BCE they created the Roman Republic. These rights were written in was is called “The twelve Tables” where there are other laws that were made by voting of the citizens which included crime, family, theft, marriage and inheritance. These laws applied to everyone no matter the social class.
Every time that the Romans conquered a new city there would be a road built from that country leading back to Rome. This was done because Rome was the heart of the empire.
In ancient times you were able to apply to become a Roman citizens thought not everyone was accepted. Ancient Romans and ancient Greeks were very different. While the ancient Romans were realistic the ancient Greeks were idealists and this was shown in their statues. While the Greeks made statues of a perfect looking people, the ancient Romans made statues of real people. The roman soldiers were wild violent, and intense. They were also very good road builders; they were built all over the empires which were called the Roman roads.

The Romans were different from the ancient Greeks. One example is the the Greeks will make statue of perfect people the Romans will create satues of real people. Thats why Romans And Greeks are different. The Romans will built a road all over the empire. All of them wil led to Rome. The Greeks also had roads but they weren't ready good. The Greeks roads diddn't led to any particular order. In Greek city-state was its own unit. Rome was the heart of the empire.
The Acient Rome loved to hear storys about Romulus and Remus. This storys explained why the Romes had the right to rule. They belived this because Romulus and Remus justified their right to rule their mother was a princess and their father was the war and god of Mars. The legend of Romulus and Remus was that Rhea was married to Mars, the Roman god of war. Also that Rhea had twin sons she really loved her sons. She loved them so much but there was a problem so the mom product them she put them next to a river and she hope that someone will find them.

I learned that the Ancient Romans loved to hear the story of Romulus & Remus. The story of Romulus & Remus was a theory. It sayed that in their own eyes the story explained why Rome had the right to rule. I also learned that the people wanted to be ruled by elected leaders. I also learned that the leaders of the Republic wrote down the rights in what history refers as the twelve tables. It was called the twelve tables because the written laws were organized into twelve sections.
I learned that in Rome there was an old expression stating "All roads lead to Rome." I also learned that in Ancient Rome, Rome was the heart of the empire. Also that each time a new city was conquered a road was built from that city back to Rome. I also learned that roads were built in straight lines and had many gutters. I learned that two elected consuls shared the head of government. The consuls were members of the Senate, who were selected to serve for a one year term in the position of Consul. Those are the things I learned from the websites.

Romulus and Remus clarified their right to rule because their mother was a princess and their father was the war god Mars. This girl Rhea married Mars an they had two boys. She loved her boys but still gave them to some other god and goddess and they adopted the boys. After the 16 battled the people voted for never to be a kin again.
There were laws for the 12 tables. One was if you have to go to court then they force you to go. If you pick some one to testified and they don't go you can shout in front of his house once every three days. The roman roads mad these Milestones they weren't to give out directions they just told how far Rome was from that area. The Rome use concrete to built these milestones.

The articles that I read were about ancient Rome, in the article Romulus and
Remus was a story about how Rome started and how Rone got its first king.
The 12 tables were about the 12 laws of Rome, they decided to change their government after they were ruled by a king.
The last article was about the Roman roads and how every road leads to Rome.
This was said beacuse every time Rome
contured another country, they built a road leading to Rome which is the capital of the country.

In the story of Romulus and Remus it explains that the wife of a king named Mars had twin sons. She loved her sons very much but was forced to let her sons. If she doesn't then the gods or goddesses would harm her father, her father, her self, her husband, ad her children. So she set them adrift on the river.
At first a she-wolf found the babies. Later on a shepherd and his wife adopted the twins. As they got older they both wanted to become kings. They both built a city of their own, but there can only have on king. Romulus then killed his brother, and made himself king.

Rome used to be ruled by kings before a 16-year battle with their last king Tarquin the proud. after that battle Romanians decided that they didn't want to be ruled by kings no more but by elected leaders.about 50 years after this happened the council wrote down a set of laws called twelve tables

Today from what I read about the Romulus and Remus, 12 tables, Republic Government, Roman Roads, and the life of Ancient Rome was that they were not the same as the Greek they were different. The people in Rome were a busy people. The people in Rome were a Republic Government they were able to apply to be a citizen of Rome which was better then so that they can veto and they were able to do more things. But the bad thing was that not everyone was accepted only some people. Rome was not like Greek that had city-states it was only Rome and people love it.
The Romulus and Remus was a story that people told as a legend. Romulus and Remus were brothers that were left from their mother which she was a princess and their father was the war god. Since the princess left them in the river a she-wolf and his wife adopted them and take care of them. When they grew older they both wanted to be a king so they made a city so that they could rule. Since Romulus wanted to be the only king he killed his brother and the city was name after him so they left it as Rome. The 12 tables was laws that needed to be followed.

ancient rome will be our next topic in global class. ancient rome is very interesting because they made up the same goverment we follow today.Meaning that because of the ancient rome we have the freedom of today.the 12 tables is something the same to our amendment today.they are basically made up of the ground rules or groups that said what to do and what not to do and if done the consequences to it.
romulus and remus were twin brothers. they said that their were king because their parent were a Princess and a king. romulus killed remus with a rock because they both wanted to be kings.romulus only wanted to be the king of rome.
Breakfast in rome to the poor is so different then to the breakfast to the rich.the poor eat bread dry or dipped in wine or water.Somtimes olives, cheese,or rainsins were sprinkled on the bread.the rich people eat fruit, vegtables, fresh meat ,fish and bread and used honey to sweeten food.

The story of Romulus and Remus was a great storyt in the romans eyes it explianed to them why rome had the right to rule. Romulus was the twin sons of Mars, the roman god of war and Rhea. Rhea had o send her boys away becuase they were plots of the gods to harm Rhea, Mars and her father. As they grew older they wanted to be kings, but only one king could be. Romulus killed Remus and made rome and became king.
The leaders of the roman republic made a section of laws called the 12 tables. The romans did not want a rule of kings, they wanted to be ruled by elected leaders. So the leaders made 12 laws they believed would keep the empire in order. Some of the laws were alot like the laws today. In ancient rome when new cities were built there was always a road that lead right back to the heart of the Roman empire, rome. There was a sayin that went "all roads lead to rome."

The Public Baths were extremely popular. Roman women and men tried to visit the baths at least once every day. The baths had hot and cold pools, towels, slaves to wait on you, steam rooms, saunas, exercise rooms, and hair cutting salons.

The Story of Romulus and Remus was a myth about how ancient Rome or Rome was made. The myth was that these two twins where born and raised by a priest and his wife then they grew up and made an empire which both of them wanted to be only ruler but Romulus over powered remus and killed him as well as taken his empire. The twelve tables were about laws that they had in Rome that till this day are used and are democratic .
