The Journal of Research on Technology in Education (JRTE) has several interesting articles I'd like to share with you. This one is called "The Interaction of Pedagogical Approach, Gender, Self-Regulation, and Goal Orientation Using Student Response System Technology" by Kellah M. Edens. Attached is a link to the research.
Interesting Finding: “Other findings are that students in the operant conditioning group were significantly more likely to be anxious when using SRS but were more motivated to prepare for and attend class than the metacognitive group.”
Have you used SENTEOs (SMARTBoard) or Activotes (Promethean) or other student response systems with your students? What have you observed? Please give us your comments.
