What I learned about  the Mauryan Empire is that it is located in India. The ruler in the Mauryan Empire was Chandragupta in 324 BCE. He gained control of a great area to Bengal in East to Afghanistan as the Nermada River. The third Mauryan Empire was Ashoka. Ashoka was one of the famous ruler in India. He became the new emperor in 274 BCE. Ashoka began to set up his laws of power in a cruel manner by administering capital punishment. Ashoka had monuments on Buddhism carved in rocks and caves everywhere in the empire. thirteen years later, he had seven additional edicts carved into a place polished sandstone pillars. In Nandagarh in Bihar, One of the best carved monument stands thirty two feet high and was closed by a seated lion. Ashoka has a major credit with building 84000 stupas to enshrine the memorial and a reminder of the key in the life of Siddartha Gautama who was the founder of Buddhism. This is what I learned about the Mauryan Empire.

The Mauryan Empire was a empire the was located in South India. The Mauryan Empire was ruled by Chandragupta. Chandragupta had a military so strong he devastated other kingdoms. His successor was his son Bindusara. Bindusara kept increasing the kingdom and the military. As he kept expanding the empire he reign much the same as his father's, controlling a larger kingdom than ever before known. His successor was his sons. But each one was assassinated except Asoka. Asoka was a cruel ruler. In one war his army killed 100,000 enemies. Sickened by his victory and the sight of slain enemies he began to study Buddhism. So he spread ed Buddhism to his kingdom and taught people to be kind and peaceful. He taught people by being kind it helps other people.
